You can backup your files using Windows backup system,
Go to Start, Programs, Accessories, system tools, Backup, then the Windows Backup will start in Wizard mode.
If you choose advanced mode you are offered a choice of what to back up. Choose a destination for your backup, which can be a CD-RW or DVD-RW drive, USB device, external drive or for older computer maybe ZIP drive.
Give your backup job a name, it can be useful to use the date to help you to identify it later. Then it is just a matter of letting the Windows backup software run and do its job.
or use one of these.
I like using
Cobian backup computer software
or
IDrive
a free online file storage, both are free and work find. You will find a download link below.
Cobian software is a backup computer & restore program that backup your important files and directories to another place on the same computer or to another media (drive, usb device, dvd, network)and it supports remote backups as well as FTP backup over Internet.IT compress and encrypt your backups files. You will need a decompression and decryption utilities like Winzip to recover your files without having to use the Cobian backup program. It have a scheduler build-in, so that you can schedule your backups to occur, say, during the night when you are not using the PC computer.
One other way to backup computer files is to use CD/DVD burning software like Nero.
