What is Windows registry? and why do I have to clean it?

Because the way Windows work, it refer to the registry all the time. It a little bit like if you where reading a technical book and have to go back and forth to the index to find the next thing you wanted to read. The Windows registry is a database used by Microsoft to store configuration information about the software installed on a computer. This database includes things like the desktop setting , program settings, file extension and many other parameter.

So windows is constantly looking at the registry.

Better organize and slim the registry are, better your computer will run.

That's why it is important to do registry clean up using free registry fix software or paid one.

Once your registry is clean, then you will want to optimize it, defrag it and backup registry.

Now be careful about registry cleaner software out there.

Most of them claim that they can fix about anything in your computer, they even claim that they will fix your missing DLL.

NO SIR Don't think so, they are registry cleaner and NOT computer technician, all they do is clean your registry from junk, left over and remove orphan path.

Worst some come with rogue and adware. in it, they are almost impossible to uninstall and them there telling you that you have full of errors and to fix them of course you have to buy it.

So just don't download any crap how there, i will tell you the one i use and i have tested them and use them quit a lot.

I use about five different software to fix registry error.

What if your registry are corrupt

Usually if you can boot to your Windows screen and get a message that state "your registry are corrupt" then you should be able to fix corrupt registry by applying the step bellow using those software.

But if you can't boot to Windows because of corrupt registry, then you need to fix corrupt registry by restoring your system to a previous state using windows XP system restore
