In other word It’s a antimalware scanners that are actually malware in disguise "See the complete explanation down below."

What are those files anyway? and what they do?

They are all Malware and here they are.

  • Virus:- A program or a scripts that when run can harmfully affect the fitness of your PC computer, has the ability to replace important files on your computer by infecting them .These programs can have many effects ranging from stupid jokes to wiping your hard drive, or just replacing Windows DLL files or even your own anti-virus program. These types of infections tend to be localized to your computer and not have the ability to spread to another computer on their own but could be spread via floppy or usb key. The term virus has become a general word that cover for all other Malware like Trojans, worms, Spyware and viruses.
  • Adware: - A program generally in a form of a Cookie that generates advertisements popup screen on your computer. It's usually come whit freeware software that display ads  in order to generate revenue. Not all adware cookie are necessarily considered malware.
  • Trojan: - A software program that provide a backdoor to your system. Like the story of troy in Greek history, some man was hidden in the wooden horse and at night they came out and destroy the city. Well a trojans (often call a Trojans Horse) will to that, First it seem inoffensive, but then create other malware, open computer internet port and lets other software that he needs to complete is destruction.
  • Worm: - This one has the ability to spread to other computers on its own using either security holes on Internet port or email addresses found on your address book .
  • Backdoor: - Usually a hidden program that allows a remote user to use your computer without your permission and without you knowing it. They are typically used to launch attacks on other computers, distribute illegal software or music, or hack other computers using your own IP address.
  • Dialler: - A software program that install and execute itself automatically to dials a premium rate number that has per minute over charges. These calls are usually intent for gaining access or to pornographic site.  Again using your own IP address.
  • Hijackers:- A program that attempts to hijack certain Internet functions like redirecting your start page to the hijacker's own start page, redirecting search queries to a undesired search engine, or replace search results from popular search engines with their own information.
  • Spyware: - A program that "spies" or watch your browsing activity on your computer and sends that information to a remote server without you been aware.  Spyware can capture information like Web browsing habits, e-mail messages, usernames and passwords, and credit card information.

  • Rootkit: - ismalware which consists of a software (or combination of several programs) designed to hide or obscure the fact that a system has been infected. Contrary to what its name may imply, a rootkit does not grant a user administrator access as it requires such access to execute and tamper with system files and processes. An attacker may use a rootkit to replace vital system executables which may then be used to hide processes and files the attacker has installed along with the presence of the rootkit itself. Access to the hardware (e.g., the reset switch) is rarely required as a rootkit is intended to seize control of the operating system running on the hardware. Typically, rootkits act to obscure their presence on the system through subversion or evasion of standard operating system  mechanisms. Often, they areTrojans as well, thus fooling users into believing they are safe to run on their systems. Techniques used to accomplish this can include concealing running processes from monitoring programs, or hiding files or system data from theopperating system. Rootkits may also install a 'backdoor' in a system by replacing the login mechanism (such as /bin/login) with an executable that accepts a secret login combination which in turn allows an attacker to access the system regardless of changes to the actual accounts on the system.

  • Rogue software: - Once installed, the programs rely on several tactics to attempt to entice the user into purchasing a "full" version. These include false positives, downloaded malware, false security alerts and locking various aspects of the system to prevent user changes.
